Lucas

Lucas is a variation of Josephine- The differences are that the Aces are moved to the foundation during the deal, and that there are 13 stacks of 3 cards. This makes the game a little easier to win...

Aim:

The aim of Lucas is to build 8 ascending suit sequences in the foundation zone.

How to Play:

The tableau contains:

In the manoeuvre zone, form descending sequences of the same suit. Cards can only be moved one at a time.

If a manoeuvre stack becomes empty during play, any exposed card can be played to it.

You can deal from the stock at any time.

Cards are moved to the foundation to form ascending suit sequences. The game is won when all the cards are moved to the foundation.

Lucas Example:

Suppose that the initial lucas deal looks like this:

Lucas 1
The start of Lucas deal #1...

You would probably start by moving the 2 of Spades to the foundation...

Lucas 2
After moving the 2 of spades...

Cards are moved down, in suit. So we might move the 7 of hearts onto the 8 of hearts...

Lucas 3
After moving the 7 of hearts...

At any time, we can deal from the stock...

Lucas 4
After dealing a card from the stock...
