Note Studio
FAQ
How do I set my Note Studio conduit to do one-way sync? Or 2-way synch?
Windows
- Identify the Hot-Sync manager, in the lower-right part of your desktop.
- Right-click to pull up a context menu
- Choose 'Custom...'
- Select the 'Note Studio 3.0' conduit (its default action should be 'Synchronize the files'.
- Press the 'Change...' button. You now should see four choices:
- Synchronize the files
- Desktop overwrites handheld
- Handheld overwrites desktop
- Do nothing
- Select which synchronization action you want the conduit to do.
When selecting your synch action, if you check the 'Set as default' box, all future hot-synchs will perform that action. If you do not check it, only the next hot-synch will perform that action,
then the conduit will revert to the previous action.
Example 1: You want to permanently stop your Note Studio conduit from synching. Select 'Do nothing' and tick the 'Set as default' box.
Example 2: Your conduit is set to 'Synchronize the files', and you want to overwrite your Palm with whatever is on your Desktop, then resume normal two-way synching. Select 'Desktop overwrites handheld', but do not check 'Set as default'. The next sync you do will be one-way, then subsequent syncs will be two-way.
