Note Studio

FAQ

How do I rearrange the order of my Collections?

At the moment, the only way to do it is by editing a text file. We do not recommend this unless you are an advanced user, and are comfortable with editing configuration files.

If you want to do it, here's how:

Where your Note Studio 3 data lives =(C:\Documents and

Settings\{login name}\Application Data\notestudio\{palm user name})=, is a

file called 'datasource.ini'. This defines your collections.

Make sure Note Studio is not running. Make a backup copy of datasource.ini.

Then, open it up. It looks as follows:

Line 1: '2.1'

Line 2: the number of collections you have

Then: a block of 5 lines for each collection you have. The first line in

each block of 5 lines is that collection's name.

You can re-arrange these blocks to rearrange the order your collections show

up in Note Studio.

If you accidentally add or remove any lines in the file, Note Studio will

stop running, which is why you made the backup.
